1. Introduction

Anthaly (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "this app") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

This app does not collect any personally identifiable information that can be used to identify users.

When you use the plant identification feature, we access photos of plants you take or select. These photos are only used for AI plant identification and classification, pest and disease detection and analysis. Photos are only stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to upload them for identification services.

Photos submitted by users are processed on the server side but are not used for analysis, advertising, or sharing with third parties. You can disable photo upload permissions in Settings at any time.

We do not create user profiles, nor do we associate photos with any user accounts.

2.1 Model Training Data Collection

To improve our AI recognition capabilities, we may use your plant photos to train and optimize our recognition models with your consent. If you choose to participate in the model improvement program:

• Your plant photos will be anonymized, removing all identifiable personal information
• Photos are used solely for model training and will not be used for any other purpose
• You can disable this feature in Settings at any time, and we will stop collecting your photos
• After disabling the feature, previously collected data will continue to be used for model training, but no new data will be collected

How to manage data collection settings:

You can find the "Participate in Model Improvement" toggle in the app's Settings page. After disabling this toggle, we will no longer collect your plant photos for model training.

3. How We Use Information

When you use the plant identification feature, photos are sent to our AI service provider (RunPod) for identification. Photos are not retained on the server after identification is complete. Pest and disease detection results and diagnostic recommendations are generated by AI models, and we do not store your diagnostic data.

4. Data Storage

All your personal data (plant records, photos, notes, etc.) is stored locally on your device using React Native's AsyncStorage. We do not store your personal data on our servers.

5. Your Rights

You can view all data stored in the app at any time, delete any data within the app, or revoke any app permissions in your device settings.

5.1 Account Deletion and Data Removal

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can delete your account by:

1. Opening the app's "Settings" page
2. Finding the "Delete Account" option in the "Account Management" section
3. Following the prompts to confirm the deletion

When you delete your account, we will permanently delete all of the following data:

• Your account information (including login credentials)
• All plant records and photos in your garden
• All growth diaries and records
• All settings and preferences (including language settings, data collection preferences, etc.)
• All scheduled watering reminder notifications

Important Notes:

• Account deletion is irreversible. Once executed, all data cannot be recovered.
• Before deleting your account, please ensure you have backed up any information you wish to keep.
• If you have an active subscription, deleting your account will not automatically cancel it. You must manually cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
• After deleting your account, you will no longer be able to log in to the app with that account.

6. Children's Privacy

Anthaly is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information from our systems as soon as possible.
